On The Move -The Inaugural Ceremony

Prayerful greetings from the Eternal City and the Jesus Youth Lenten Adoration Team ( JYLAT) !
The much awaited Intercession Campaign and Lenten Eucharistic Adoration started at 6 pm on 17th February, Ash Wednesday. We had the inaugural Holy Mass celebrated by  Bishop Jean Laffitte, Secretary to Pontifical Council for Families and Bishop Antony Fisher, diocese of Paramatta , Australia, together with other ten priests from various countries. The Holy Mass was celebrated in English with readings and singing in other languages. More than 75 people attended the inaugural Mass which was celebrated in Centro San Lorenzo (International Youth Centre). This is the Church where the World Youth Day Cross is kept when not touring the globe and now we have the World Youth Day Cross in one corner of this small Church and the Eucharistic Adoration on the other corner! It is a wonderful experience being caught between these two great realities and  is also emotionally overwhelming!

Oh ! Come, Let us Adore Him .....
We have JY volunteers and others  taking turns round the clock. Since the Centre is also the International Youth Centre and a Youth Pilgrim Centre (during the day many pilgrim groups visit the Chapel and the World Youth Day Cross), there are few common sessions every day like the Holy hour at 5 pm and Holy Mass at 6pm. The centre also has youth taking turns every Thursday night in the vigil which they started few months back. Jesus Youth teenagers from Rome are very much part of this vigil.

We have lot of time at our disposal to pray for all of you! So please don’t forget to mail your and your ministry’s prayer intentions. Please mail us at: jylentenadoration@jesusyouth.org

We will keep on updating you with events and developments from Centro San Lorenzo. JYLAT wishes  the JY Global family and all our friends in the other communities the grace and joy of the season of Lent.
